Dear Spanish Members,
I hope you all enjoyed your winter vacations, welcome back to those who were away, and let’s get ready for spring! We have had a lot of action and our halls have been filled with young people– Here are some of our youth recent and ongoing youth events.
Ongoing programs:
Recent:
- POUR’EM BASH! The youth committee-Alex Fattal, Joseph Daoud, Samara Wigdor, Robert Daoud, Amanda Bindman, Lissa Susser, Shawn Korin, Phillip Fattal and myself- the event for our members children and potentials in their 20s and early 30s. Over 200 young people had a blast and thousands of dollars were raised.
- FAMILY PURIM party after the Megilla reading. Lots of fun was had by all.
- SSTAMP- every Saturday morning from 10-12 for kid ages 3-5 (in garderie) and 6-11 (in Beit Hamidrash) with our experienced educators.
- For those of you who might not have been to our Saturday services in a while, on many Shabbats, we have our children come and sing adon olam in the main sanctuary. We also have a special children’s Kiddush table.
- THE BAT MITZVAH PROGRAM- Second Session- is underway- our ten Bat Mitzvah girls come on Tuesdays to the Spanish and enjoy classes with Dr. Norma Joseph, Meira Orenstein and me. The Ceremony will be held June 10th, 2012 at our synagogue.

- Youth Shabbat:APRIL 21st— For boys between the ages of 13-17- they will run the main service! Let me know if your son or grandson would like to participate.
- Young couples and newlyweds initiative- with Rabbi Orenstein, March 27th
- Passover- care and educational programming for kids- April 7th and 8th
- Lag Baomer- YOUTH BBQ, May 10th
- Passover TEEN POGRAM- April 7th and 8th
- Shavuot- educational TEEN PROGRAM- and Ice cream BAR!! , May 26th
- Shavuot- All night learning for young adults, May 26th
