Dear Congregants,

In anticipation of the upcoming high holidays, I wanted to share in detail how we will be managing to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.

• We will be following Quebec Government guidelines in terms of hall capacity, the mandatory wearing of face masks, and social distancing.
• All persons 6 years old and over must wear a face mask covering their nose, mouth, and chin inside the building.
  • ​​All children under the age of 12 must perform a “rapid COVID test”. This will be required once before Rosh Hashana services and a second time before Yom Kippur services. Security will be asking for proof of the test before allowing entry.
  • Date and times for the “rapid COVID” tests are as follows:
    • September 5th 8:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M.
    • September 14th 5:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M.
  • There will be no cost for the tests as Jeremy Bitton of Online Pharma has graciously offered to provide this on our behalf.
• Parents must have their children seated with them at all times unless they are attending a supervised activity.
• We strongly encourage all attendees be double vaccinated in order to protect themselves and those with whom they come in contact.
• The above protocol is applicable to all congregants entering the building for Spanish & Portuguese, Chevra Shaas, Maghen Abraham, CBIJ (Iraqi Community), and Moroccan services.

Our Executive, Clergy, and Religious Services Committee have worked diligently to develop the above plan designed to provide a safe environment that is open to all those that want to celebrate the High Holidays. I look forward to seeing you!

En prévision de Roch Hachana et Yom Kippour, je vous présente le protocole sanitaire conçu pour assurer un environnement sûr pour tous les participants.

• Nous suivrons les directives du gouvernement du Québec en ce qui concerne la capacité des salles, le port obligatoire d’un masque facial et la distanciation sociale.
• A l'intérieur du bâtiment, toutes les personnes de 6 ans et plus doivent porter un masque facial couvrant le nez, la bouche et le menton.
  • Tous les enfants de moins de 12 ans doivent effectuer un « test COVID rapide », une première fois avant les services de Roch Hachana et une deuxième fois avant les services de Yom Kippour. La sécurité demandera une preuve du test avant d'autoriser l'entrée du bâtiment.
  • Les horaires pour le « test COVID rapide » sont les suivants :
    • 5 septembre de 8h00 à 10h00
    • 14 septembre 17h30 à 18h30
  • Il n'y aura aucun coût pour les tests car Jeremy Bitton de Online Pharma nous les a gracieusement offerts.
• Les parents doivent garder leurs enfants assis avec eux en tout temps, à moins qu'ils ne participent à une activité supervisée.
• Nous encourageons fortement tous les participants à être doublement vaccinés afin de se protéger ainsi que les personnes avec qui ils seront en contact.
• Le protocole ci-dessus s’applique à tous les fidèles entrant dans le bâtiment pour les services de la Spanish & Portuguese, de Chevra Shaas, de Maghen Abraham, et des Communautés irakienne et marocaine.

Le Comité exécutif, le Clergé et le Comité religieux ont travaillé avec diligence pour développer ce protocole, conçu pour fournir un environnement sûr et ouvert à tous ceux qui souhaitent célébrer les Grandes Fêtes. Au plaisir de vous y retrouver !
