Ariel likes to listen to music, exercise and loves to travel.
What is the ShinShinim program?
The ShinShinim program is a partnership between Montreal’s Jewish Federation (CJA) and the Jewish Agency for Israel. Shinshinim (a play on the Hebrew words, Shnat Sheirut, meaning “year of service”) are 18-Year old young Israeli leaders who defer their army service for one year to volunteer in communities around the globe.
What will the ShinShinim be doing?
The ShinShinim will serve as informal educators and facilitators. They will be present during Shabbat services and will work with our Jewish educator to provide programming for the children during the services. The Shinshin will share their knowledge and passion for Israel with our young children. They will help our children understand role that Israel for Jews in the diaspora.
