Insights from Reverend Hazan Benlolo

Ce dimanche et lundi derniers furent quelque chose d'extraordinaire. Le révérend Daniel Benlolo a lancé une merveilleuse nouvelle initiative et a contacté nos membres qui passaient l'hiver en Floride.

Des membres de la Spanish et de diverses communautés se sont réunies pendant deux jours merveilleux pour célébrer les joies de la vie et l'étude de la Torah dans une atmosphère détendue et sans stress. Environ 120 personnes ont assisté à la fête de dimanche soir et on pouvait sentir l'énergie dans l'air. Le révérend Benlolo a commenté "Si nous n'avions pas changé la date, imaginez si cet événement avait eu lieu lorsque tous nos membres étaient encore en ville, nous aurions dû trouver un lieu plus grand." C'est le plan pour l'année prochaine.

Hazan Yossi Basha et Roni Mualem étaient présents et ont chanter avec le révérend Benlolo, en hébreu et en arabe, avec quelques chansons nostalgiques pour le public. La fête s'est poursuivie avec des chansons plus modernes et tout le monde a dansé à cœur joie.

La fête était incroyable avec une délicieuse nourriture casher, tout le monde a apprécié l'événement et était très heureux d'y avoir participé. C'était comme un merveilleux rassemblement familial chaleureux au bord de la mer malgré le temps froid.

Le lendemain, nous nous sommes réunis pour une séance "lunch and learn" avec le révérend Benlolo, qui nous a rappelé que tout est dans la volonté de Hashem. Nous devrions toujours nous efforcer d'être les meilleures versions de nous-mêmes, car nous sommes tous créés à l'image de Dieu et avons tous une étincelle de Hashem en nous. Après avoir terminé son discours, de nombreuses personnes ont commenté combien elles avaient apprécié ce rassemblement chaleureux et auraient pu écouter le révérend Benlolo parler toute la journée!

Ce serait merveilleux d'encourager et de participer à de nombreuses rencontres similaires pour maintenir le contact entre les membres de notre communauté et profiter de la connexion avec notre merveilleuse congrégation et ses enseignements.

Merci encore au révérend Benlolo pour un séjour bien réussi. Merci à Sandra et Ron Mashaal pour avoir organisé cet événement.

This past Sunday and Monday was something out of the ordinary, Reverend Daniel Benlolo sparked a wonderful new initiative and reach out to our members that were spending winter in Florida. Members of the Spanish and from various communities gathered for two wonderful days celebrating the joys of life and the study of Torah in a relaxed and stress -free atmosphere. The party on Sunday night was attended by around 120 people and one could feel the energy in the air. Reverend Benlolo remarked “Had we not changed the date, imagine if this event took place when all our members were still in town, we would have to get a bigger venue”. That’s the plan for next year!

In attendance and performing with Reverend Benlolo was Hazan Yossi Basha and Roni Mualem, all in Hebrew and Arabic with some nostalgic songs for the audience. The party continued with more modern songs and everybody danced to their hearts content.

The party was amazing with delicious Kosher food, everyone enjoyed the event and were very happy to have participated.

It was like a wonderful warm family gathering on the seashore in spite of the cold weather!

The following day we gathered for a lunch and learn session by Reverend Benlolo who reminded us that all is in Hashem's will. That we should always strive to be the best versions of ourselves, we are all made in G D S image and all have a spark of Hashem in us. After he finished his talk, many people commented on how they enjoyed the warm gathering and how they could have listened to Reverend Benlolo talk all day!

It would be wonderful to encourage and to attend many more of such encounters to keep the members of the Spanish in touch with each other and to enjoy the connection to our wonderful congregation and teachings.
