And they shall lay My Name on the children of Israel… I shall bless them." (6, 27)

The blessing of the Kohanim in love

The numerology of the initials of the words "ושמו את שמי על בני ישראל" add up to 389 which is the numerology of אהבה שלום – love, peace.

The Chatam Sofer says that sometimes a person is blessed by righteous people of his generation but nevertheless does not see his problem being solved. Why is this so even if the righteous, holy people blessed him?

We must know that certainly the blessings of the righteous help and that person's salvation was soon to be coming but in Heaven there were prosecutors (created from his bad deeds) and they stopped the blessing and salvation from reaching him.

However, by the blessings of the Kohanim this is not the case. By the Priests' blessings  G-d destroys those bad prosecutors that prevent a person's salvation – and thereby the salvation can reach him without being obstructed.

We must therefore know that those moments when the Kohanim bless us are very lofty and a person must take good advantage of them for his own benefit.

That is what is mean by "And they shall lay My Name" "ושמו את שמי"- Which Name? The Name of Hashem that adds up in numerology to 65 – and this Name shall lay "on the children of Israel" on "בני ישראל" which adds up to 603. If we add the word I "אני" which adds up to 61, together (65 +603 +61) they had up to 729 which is the numerology of  - "קרע שטן"  -Tear Satan.

At the end of the verse it says "I shall bless them" -"אברכם". The blessings shall lay upon  G-d's children because "Satan has been torn" and the evil forces cannot hurt and prosecute against the blessings of the Kohanim who bless His children in love.
