Nothing better
"… if any man of you would bring an offering near unto G-d from animals…" (1, 2)
On the verse in Tehilim (36) "A man and an animal G-d will save" our Rabbis say that as long as the sinner is still alive, he can remedy the situation by repenting. But if, G-d forbid, he dies without repentance, his only remedy is for him to return as a gilgul again to This World for the soul to remedy that which it did wrong.
That is the intention of the verse "A man and an animal"- if G-d forbid a man and an animal are combined together in a gilgul of the person's soul within an animal, then "G-d will save" – the only salvation he will have is if G-d arranges that that soul inside the animal is rectified by its being brought as an offering.
We can now clearly understand the great question that the interpreters ask, "Even if a person sins, what did the animal sin?" According to what we explained, there is nothing bad for the animal. On the contrary, since G-d arranged the gilgul of the sinner's soul inside the animal, that soul has a remedy by the animal being brought as an offering to G-d. Therefore, there is nothing better for that animal.
